Space Players

With this section COSMOS wants to provide you with some background information on selected players. The objective is to give you support for better understanding the Space work programmes which are the basis for the Space calls.

Important Horizon 2020 Players

DG Enterprise & Industry
Directorate General Enterprise and Industry within the European Commission is responsible for the Space programme in Horizon 2020.

Research Executive Agency (REA)
The REA is the project agency responsible for receiving and evaluating the Space proposals and managing projects selected for funding (except GNSS related ones).

European GNSS Agency (GSA)
The GSA takes the role of the project agency for GNSS related proposals and
projects.

Programme Committee Space 
The EU member states and Horizon 2020 associated countries send delegates to the Programme Committee Space to support DG Enterprise & Industry and find joint agreements on content and budgets of the Space programme.

Space Advisory Group (SAG) 
The European Commission appoints Space experts for the SAG to consult it on the Space programme.
