In line with set goals, in March 2006, the Government of the Republic of Croatia founded the Croatian Institute of Technology (HIT) under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Science, Education and Sports (MZOS). The primary mission of the HIT is the support and promotion of commercialisation of technological projects as well as support of close collaboration between the scientific community and economy.One of the goals of the Institute is developing international cooperation in the areas of technological operations, participation in the implementation of EU programmes and the development of the technology foresight and business intelligence systems, an impact will be made on the creation of a new economic structure based on top level knowledge application and a positive synergy of the economy, science, technology, and the general public.The Croatian Institute of Technology is involved in few FP6 projects, in different thematic priorities. Some projects which were under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Science, Education and Sports have been transferred on the Croatian Institute of Technology.
RPF – Research Promotion Foundation is a non-profit private foundation with public mandate located in Cyprus. It was founded in 1996 by the Government of the Republic of Cyprus, to serve as the national agency for the promotion of scientific and technological research.
The RPF has developed a number of activities which fall into two broad categories:
(a) the design, launching, funding and monitoring of national research programmes, and
(b) the promotion of the participation of Cypriot researchers in European research programmes and international organisations (EU Framework Programmes, European Cooperation in Science and Research (COST), Joint Research Centre (JRC), European Science Foundation (ESF), EUREKA). It is also responsible for the implementation of bilateral agreements on R&D.
The RPF has the overall responsibility for the coordination of activities relating to the Horizon 2020 Programme (as it has been doing since 1999: 5th, 6th and 7th Framework Programmes). It coordinates the network of National Contact Points and representatives of Cyprus in the various Programme Committees, provides information, organises information days and provides advice and customised assistance to researchers. The RPF has also been actively involved in a number of EC funded projects. The RPF acts as the Cypriot EURAXESS Bridgehead Organisation and hosts Cyprus’ EURAXESS Services Centre, a member of the European EURAXESS Network. It is also member of the Enterprise Europe Network (EEN).
TECHNOLOGY CENTRE OF THE ACADEMY OF SCIENCES OF THE CZECH REPUBLIK (TC AVČR)
The Technology Centre of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic (Technology Centre) established in 1993, promotes industrial utilisation of research and development, provides a wide spectrum of technology transfer services and stimulates creation and growth of small innovative businesses. The Technology Centre is the focal point of national information infrastructure for the EU Framework Programmes, acts as the National information centre (NICER) for EU FPs, provides targeted, programme-specific information, advice, assistance and training for the Czech R&D community, and organises awareness events.
The Technology Centre is involved in preparation of strategic studies focused on RTD and innovation. The Technology Centre prepares conceptual documents for the state administration and its advisory bodies. It coordinates national and regional projects on identifying research priorities, strategic research directions, preparation of research and innovation policies and innovation strategies. The Technology Centre is the host and co-ordinating organisation of the Czech Innovation Relay Centre (CIRC) and of the Czech Liaison Office for R&D (CZELO) which is based in Brussels where it represents Czech research community and provides the Czech research institutions with the targeted and updated information on the possibilities of being involved in international research consortia.The Technology Centre has been cooperating with foreign partners on international projects in the field of strategic studies for the EC, European Parliament, United Nations Organization for Industrial Development and Joint Research Centre of the EC.

Archimedes is an independent body established by the Estonian government in 1997 with the objective to co-ordinate and implement different EU programs (FP-s, LLL, Youth) and projects in the field of training, education, research, technological development and innovation. It has a permanent staff of 60, working in two offices located in Tartu and Tallinn, the main educational and research centres of Estonia.
Among other responsibilities Archimedes organizes higher education accreditation and research evaluation in Estonia and belongs to the European Network of National Information Centers on Academic Recognition and Mobility. Archimedes is also a member of the Innovation Relay Centres and of the National Academic Recognition Information Centers network. Archimedes is the implementing body for the Estonian research information system (www.etis.ee).

Tekes, the Finnish Funding Agency for Innovation (established in 1983, under the Ministry of Economy) is the main financing organization for applied and industrial R&D and Innovation in Finland. The primary objective of Tekes is to enhance the competitiveness of Finnish industry and the service sector.
The funding aims to diversify production structures, increase exports, and create a foundation for employment and societal well-being. Tekes coordinates the participation in international initiatives, including European Union’s research programs, EUREKA, IEA (International Energy Agency), COST (European Cooperation in Scientific and Technical research), European Space Agency (ESA) and Nordic cooperation.
Technology and innovation programs are used to promote development in specific sectors of industry, and to pass on results from the research work to business. The programs offer a framework for international R&D cooperation. In 2015 Tekes’ financing for national and international R&D programs was 430 million euros. Some 20 million euros was provided for ESA programs and national space activities.
GERMAN AEROSPACE CENTER (DLR) – COSMOS 2020 COORDINATOR
DLR is the national aeronautics and space research centre of the Federal Republic of Germany. Its extensive research and development work in aeronautics, space, energy, transport and security is integrated into national and international cooperative ventures. In addition to its own research, as Germany’s space agency, DLR has been given responsibility by the federal government for the planning and implementation of the German space programme. DLR is also the umbrella organisation for the nation’s largest project management agency.

Enterprise Ireland incorporating the former roles of Forbairt, the Irish Trade Board and the in-company training activities of FAS was established by the Government in 1998. As the Irish Governments business development agency it reports to the Minister for Enterprise Trade & Employment. Its mandate is to assist the growth of Irish enterprise by providing locally controlled businesses with a single, integrated source of development advice, funding and support services. The Irish FP7 National Support Network is managed by and located at Enterprise Ireland. It is the prime source of information for Irish organisations on FP7.
Enterprise Ireland also manages industrial and technology development programmes relating to Space activity on behalf of the Department of Enterprise Trade and Employment. AGENCY FOR THE PROMOTION OF EUROPEAN REASEARCH (APRE)
APRE is a non-profit research organisation, created upon the joint initiative of the Italian Ministry of Research and the European Commission in 1989, and grouping together more than 100 members, including both public and private research centres, industries, industrial associations, chambers of commerce, science parks and more than 50 universities, with the main objective to promote the participation in national and European RTD programmes. APRE received in 2001 the Quality Certification for its Project, Training and Promotion activities regarding research programmes (ISO EN 9001:2000). During its 25 years of experience APRE has been participating in several projects (about 100) co-financed by the European Commission (DG Research, DG Education and DG Enterprise).
APRE has a long-lasting experience in the EC Framework Programmes, which has started in the FP3, and that has continued during the subsequent ones (FP4, FP5 and FP6). In the Seventh Framework Programme and in Horizon 2020, APRE has been appointed by the Italian Ministry of Research and the European Commission as host organization of the Italian National Contact Points for all the themes and sectors in H2020. APRE is also member of the Enterprise Europe Network helping SMEs to make the most of the European marketplace.
Riga Technical University (RTU) is one of the oldest institutions of higher engineering education in Eastern Europe. At present RTU with about 17800 students serves the needs of rapidly growing industry of the Baltic region. The Institute of Materials and Structures (IMS) has about 30 years experience in the field of modelling, analysis and optimisation of advanced composite materials and structures. In connection with it considerable experience and proven expertise in this field, IMS (RTU) extensively have participated in European research on 5th and 6th Framework Programme participating in total of 15 research projects starting from the year 1998.

Agency for Science, Innovation and Technology (MITA) is the main governmental institution, responsible for implementation of innovation policy in Lithuania.
MITA provides free of charge services for clients from business, science and public sectors, interested in possibilities to develop strong cooperation relations with international partners and get financial support for research and innovation projects.
The main activity is the coordination of national activities and international programmes (HORIZON2020, EUREKA, EUROSTARS) of research, technological development and innovation and other financial schemes (innovation vouchers, protection of industrial property rights). INSTITUTE OF FUNDAMENTAL TECHNOLOGICAL RESEARCH PAN (Instytut Podstawowych Problemów Techniki PAN)
The NCP-PL closely co-operates with the Polish Ministry of Science and Higher Education, the European Commission and other key partners, both in Poland and abroad. The main task of the NCP-PL is to disseminate the information and to help Polish innovating research teams in active participation in EU Framework Programmes, through training, aid and consultancy, partner search service as well as promoting the international cooperation and encouraging to create multi-partner project consortia. The NCP-PL has extensive experience in organizing events to promote Framework Programme(s) and securing the attendance of researchers and research administrators and managers. The NCP-PL has organized: FP6 Launching Conference (2002, accompanied by the Ministerial Meeting, attended by nearly 2000 persons) and FP7 Launching Conference (2006, attended by nearly 1300 persons).
The NCP-PL plays also a role of Mobility Centre, NCP for Joint Research Centre and INTAS Programme. Moreover NCP-PL is a training centre for implementation of structural funds in the RTD sector. The staff of NCP-PL (50 employees) consists of highly qualified people with scientific background and with knowledge of European Programmes. The NCP-PL budget is covered mainly by resources of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, the complementing funds are provided by the EC.T he NCP-PL has its own experience in participation in more than 30 research projects carried out in FP4, FP5 and FP6, for example: IDEALIST-EAST (FP4), POLNET, POLDA, Fellows for Industry, Partners for Life, IDEAL-IST, Train-Net, CEeB, NAS2CALL, NETCEE, DONQPOL (FP5) and CEAF, CERA (INCO, co-ordinator, FP6), NBCC (INCO, co-ordinator FP6), HUNPOL-TRANS, PRO-NMS (co-ordinator FP6), QUALITYMEAT, STEF-NANO-ACC (co-ordinator, FP6), ERANIS (INCO, co-ordinator, FP6).NCP-PL has put many efforts in further extending its cooperation with neighbours from Central and Eastern Europe. ROSA is an independent public institution legal person fully self-financed, organized by the Government Decision no. 923/1995 and defined by Law no. 500/2002. The main mission of ROSA is to promote, coordinate and develop aeronautical and Space research and applications programs/projects in Romania and to represent the Government in relevant international cooperation agreements and in the relation with the European Space Agency and acts as the head of delegation for the United Nations Committee on the Peaceful Uses of Outer SpaceROSA develops its own research and development projects and centres.
The ROSA Research Centre has been established in 1998 and is developing since 2000 as a centre of excellence. In the research area, ROSA has 20 specialists covering fields as: aeronautics, physics, remote sensing and biology. More than 55% of the developed projects are in international cooperation, ROSA having government agreement with ESA, CNES, NASA, etc. Knowing the importance of the gender issue for R&D Programme it is worth mentioning that in the ROSA’s research activities are involved 10 women.ROSA is the contract authority for the National Aeronautics and Space R&D Programme (2001-2006) Ministry of Education and Research and also for the National Security R&D Programme.ROSA participated in FP6, in projects like START, AirTN, Researchers Night, DonQ Air.
As contract authority and PMU, ROSA is in permanent communication with most of the organizations research and development, universities, industry, NGOs involved in aeroSpace and security activities. ROSA is organizing, on a current basis, workshops, seminars and annual national conferences on Space and aeronautics to evidence the progress of the programme. The ROSA website http://www.rosa.ro is functional and updated on a regular basis. IN FP6, professionals of ROSA were members of the AeroSpace Programme Committee, and were assigned as the Romanian AeroSpace NCP. Within FP7, Professionals from ROSA are members in TRANSPORT- including Aeronautics, SECURITY and SPACE Programme Committees and they are also the Romanian NCPs for these themes.
Ministry of Education, Science and Sport of Slovenia (MIZS)
is responsible for science and research policies. Ministry is promoting and supporting the participation of national scientific and business communities in EU Horizon 2020 and is linking their work to the work of national Delegates to H2020 Committees and the Network of National Contact Points. In performing its tasks, MIZS is closely collaborating with the Slovenian Research Agency (ARRS), research and education institutions as well as business organisations in science and research where space research is one of important areas.
CENTRO PARA EL DESAROLLO TECNOLÓGICO INDUSTRIAL (CDTI)
CDTI is a public business entity under the Ministry of Industry, Tourism and Commerce. Among its competencies, the management of national and international R&D programmes is to be highlighted.
Besides this, CDTI finances R&D projects developed by Spanish companies and performs evaluation of calls of national R&D programmes.In the European Union R&D Programmes Department we carry out the management of the ten Themes of the Cooperation part of the Seventh Framework Programme, plus the SME Programme of the Capacities part, performing as NCP and as a National Delegates in all the management committees.CDTIs qualification for the project: CDTI has also participated in other European Projects such as idealfit, ideal-ist, Idealist-5fp, Idealist34, Idealist-7fp and ECLAIR, in the IST/ICT domain, COOREERS in NMP, and different ERA-Nets as ERA-SME and HigroSME.
CDTIs support activities at national level: Established in 1977, CDTI mission is:- To increase technological competitiveness of Spanish companies.- To implement the technology policy of the Ministry of Industry, Tourism and Commerce.The activities developed to achieve the above objectives can be summarized as follows:- Financing of R&D projects carried out by Spanish companies.- Management of international programmes (Seventh Framework Programme with NCPs in all Themes, previous Framework Programmes, ESA, EUREKA, CERN, ESRF): dissemination of documents and information, advice on documentation, evaluation of calls, attendance to Programme Committees, technology promotion and transfer.

SPANISH NATIONAL INSTITUTE FOR AEROSPACE TECHNOLOGY (INTA)
INTA is a Public Research Establishment attached to the Spanish Ministry of Defence; a Non-Profit Organisation specialized in Technological Research and Development in the fields of Space Aeronautics; Nautical and Security & Defence.
INTA’s main technological center is located at Torrejón de Ardoz, near Madrid. There are other centers in Madrid, Galicia, Granada, Huelva and Space Stations in Avila and Canary Islands.
INTA’s staff is comprised of over 1500 individuals, of whom approximately a 1000 are dedicated to R+D activities. Furthermore, INTA has representatives in Europe such as Seconded National Experts.
More than 45 projects have been funded by the FP7 with INTA participation, 8 of them belonging to Space ( e.g. ARCHES, AstRoMap, GENIUS, MASE, MOONWALK, NORS, PBSA and RITD.
Within H2020 INTA participates in 2 projects: IODISPLAY (In Orbit Demonstration Service Missions Portfolio) and Odisseus II (Youth for Space Challenge).

Within COSMOS there are two partners from Sweden:The Swedish National Space Board, SNSB, is a central governmental agency under the Ministry of Enterprise, Energy and Communications. SNSB is responsible for national and international activities relating to Space and remote sensing, primarily research and development.SNSB has three main tasks:- to distribute government grants for Space research, technology development and remote sensing activities- to initiate research and development in Space and Remote Sensing areas- to act as Swedish contact for international co-operationBasic research is financed via Ministry of Education and Research. SNSB functions as a research council for Swedish research using equipment in Space or at high altitudes in the atmosphere.
The Swedish Space programme is carried out by means of extensive international cooperation, in particular through Sweden’s membership of the European Space Agency, ESA.VINNOVA (The Swedish Governmental Agency for Innovation Systems) is the common Swedish National Contact Point, NCP, for the framework programme and is responsible for the information dissemination in Sweden. We provide information and advice concerning all aspects of the EU Framework Programmes: research areas and priorities, legal issues, rules for participation, model contracts and other agreements, applications, finding partners, mobility, etc. We serve universities and colleges, large and small enterprises, government agencies, research institutes, municipalities, guest researchers, et al.
